Siren’s AI-powered media monitoring and analysis platform, Dalil, has been selected once again to participate in the prestigious Paris Peace Forum Scale-Up Program.

In announcing Dalil's selection 11 November 2024, Siren Analytics CEO Jihad Bitar said:

"All over the world, the truth is under attack. It’s creating conflicts and misunderstanding all over the place. The huge flow of information is further burying this truth. By organising, uncovering and simplifying the access to more than four million data points in the MENA region and also the Balkans, Dalil is shattering this disinformation, recovering the truth and really contributing to peacebuilding. We are Siren, we work on transforming the public sector and security sector reform. We are based in Beirut, Lebanon, and now more than ever we know the value of peace and truth."

In 2023, being part of the Scale-Up Program was a game-changer for Dalil. It allowed us to reach new audiences and sharpen our tools to better serve OSINT researchers, fact-checkers, legal experts and other key stakeholders.

Through invaluable mentorship and strategic advice, we were able to scale our impact by:

• Expanding geographically: With funding from the EU, we adapted DALIL for the Western Balkans, enabling local news monitoring in Serbo-Croatian, and continued growing our reach across MENA.

• Enhancing AI capabilities: With funding from OIF, we collaborated with Saint Joseph University and Les Surligneurs to develop an AI-powered tool that verifies legal claims in media content.

• ⁠Diversifying our market base: We introduced social media monitoring features and advanced OSINT capabilities, helping analysts uncover hidden insights and sentiment in real time.

A heartfelt thank you to our mentors for their guidance and support. Their insights were crucial in helping us optimise Dalil's tools and connect with new audiences. This year, we are excited to build on that momentum. With the continued support from the Paris Peace Forum’s extensive network and expert mentors, we plan to:

• ⁠Deepen our engagement with stakeholders in the disinformation and security sectors.

• Enhance user-centric features based on direct feedback, ensuring Dalil remains a trusted tool for combating information overload.

• Expand into new regions and sectors, solidifying Dalil's position as a comprehensive media monitoring solution for the public good.
